Beyond Lisbon: Europe as a Knowledge Intensive Society

The Annual conference of the Academia Europaea will be held at Leuven, Belgium
The programme concentrates on future develooments in European Science and scholarship. The 2010 ERASMUS Medal will be awarded and awards made to young Belgium based researchers. The conference is open to all.

9 September 2010 - 11 September 2010
 
The conference will start on 9 September with the 2010 ERASMUS Medal award and Lecture, given by Prof JEAN FRECHET .

Main sessions cover: 'The Lisbon Agenda 2010 and beyond: Apriation or Reality' - Two round table debates involving senior European Policymakers; Reseach funding organisations and the users of science outputs and knowledge providers.

Other sessions cover: European Science at the cutting edge; Medical and Biomedical scientific advances; European Scholarship serving Society; European Humanities: putting Europe into context.

There is an open poster session and Science cafe and Publications displays.Registration is open now at the Academia Europaea home page www.accadeuro.org ALL WELCOME
