EARTO, the newly created European Association of Research and Technology Organisations, is holding its first event, the European conference "Innovation by R&D outsourcing" at San Sebastian, Spain, on 6 and 7 May 1999.
Hosted by EITE (Basque Association of RTOs), it will emphasise the role of the European research institutions and centres in technological innovations resulting from cooperation with industry.
