During the 2 years project, 80 journalism students are sent for a week to top research centres to have a real science journalism working experience with the objective of producing articles, videos or any desired format news on the scientific developments they will directly observe inside the labs and together with researchers. This trainings is not finalize once the students leave the research centres, as they will have to complete the exercise by seeking interested editors and get their works published.

RELATE is a EU funded pilot project conceived to bridge relations between researchers in EU funded activities and journalists, setting a potential basis for long-lasting interactions. The expected outcome is an amplification of the stories-to-tell offered by scientific research and raising social awareness on the ongoing activities that are bringing innovation to the EU and the world.
