To contribute to the Finnish Presidency of the European Union during the last six months of 1999, the University of Lapland will host a conference on "Northern European Dimension and Potentiality in Intercontinental Air Transport and Navigation Services". The conference will take place between 12 and 14 April 1999.

The event, which will take place in the town of Rovaniemi, Finland, located just above the Arctic Circle, will bring together academics, business people and officials at regional, national and European levels to discuss the evolution of global air transport.

The conference is supported by the European Regional Development Fund.
