Innovation and Environmental Regulation Event- "Opportunities and challenges for industrial SMEs" in Brussels - Belgium
The European surface finishing industry with over 10,000 mainly small and medium sized companies is highly innovative. Whilst the industry has made substantial progress towards environmental-friendly production, the potential of innovations in this field has by far not been fully exploited yet. European standards and legislation are without a doubt needed to move forward the implementation of green production processes and yet, where do they start to hamper innovation?
The workshop is part of the series “Sustainable manufacturing in Europe” organised jointly by Greenovate! Europe and ZVO. It will discuss the fine line between benefit and harm of European regulations with regard to innovations. Contributions about European regulation and innovation will be followed by some examples of SMEs in the “Surface Finishing Industry”, in particular the application of “Best Available Techniques (BATS) and their impact. Please find attached the agenda of the workshop.
The workshop is free of charge, but participants are kindly requested to register with full name and contact details at "assistant@greenovate.eu".Follow this link to access the workshop programme: http://www.greenovate-europe.eu/event/innovation_and_environmental_regulation_%E2%80%93_opportunities_and_challenges_smes_brussels_belgium(opens in new window)
