Workshop presents GIS project results

The fifth workshop on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), entitled "GIS of tomorrow" will take place in Stresa, Italy between 28 and 30 June 1999.
The aims are to present GI/GIS projects sponsored by the European Commission, to establish and maintain contacts and to enable consultation and cross fertilisation of ideas.
The workshop is being organised jointly by the Space Applications Institute of the Joint Research Centre and DG XIII of the Commission. It will concentrate on projects funded by ESPRIT and INFO2000 as well as the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5) for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration (RTD).
Those interested are invited to submit a paper and/or present a poster before 29 March 1999.
