Partners for Sustainable Growth: Chemistry at the roots of the EU2020 strategy in Amsterdam - Netherlands

The European Innovation Partnerships will be the core theme of the 9th Annual Stakeholder Event of the European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry (SusChem). The event will be held on May 17 in Amsterdam.

17 May 2011 - 17 May 2011
Austria
The European Innovation Partnerships (EIPs) are the new large-scale Public-Private-Partnerships designed to accelerate the pace of innovation and make sure that Europe’s world-class research and commercial strengths are employed effectively to bring sustainable products and services rapidly (and profitably) to market.

Clearly the chemical sciences and industry can make a difference in all this - and should play leading roles in a number of EIPs.

Join us in the heart of Amsterdam on May 17 and:

• Hear from a member of EU Commissioner Geoghegan-Quinn’s Cabinet how the EIP concept was developed and will be deployed
• See how Member States authorities can play a role in EIPs
• Discuss what SusChem plans and aspirations are for EU2020

And there’s more…

During the afternoon workshops, you will get first-hand practical information on three Innovation Partnerships of particular interest to the chemical community:

• Resource Efficiency
• Water Efficient Europe
• Smart Cities

Get involved with, and contribute to, innovation programmes that have the potential to drive new markets and make a major impact on a variety of business sectors and the European economy as a whole.

Join us on May 17 and get your input to SusChem’s plans to get the chemistry right for EU2020 success.
