2nd KOREA-EU Cluster Cooperation Workshop in Venice, Italy

The 2nd KOREA-EU Cluster Cooperation Workshop, follow up of the first Workshop held in Korea last November, will take place on 22 March 2011 in Venice, Italy.

22 March 2011 - 22 March 2011
Austria
The KORANET project, funded by the European Union in the framework of ERANET actions, aims at promoting the partnership between Korea and European states on S&T, to start-up a common support scheme for scientific cooperation projects, to stimulate collaboration between European and Korean clusters and to facilitate networking and mutual learning activities.

The specific objective of the event is to favour the exchange of information on cluster models in Europe and in Korea and to identify possible cooperation initiatives in this domain. The event is structured in two sessions: initially, European and Korean experts will present their contributions; in the second session a round table will stimulate discussion among the participants.

The event, open to the public, is mainly addressed to local institutions, practitioners, cluster managers and researchers.

After the workshop, the project partners and the experts will participate in a cluster tour in Veneto and they will visit the Trieste Area Science Park. The tour is aimed at offering them a concrete vision of different cluster models, representative of the local and European context.
