The EIBIR Summer School on Neurology Imaging is a mulitdisciplinary summer school, uniting about 50 young researchers coming from a variety of backgrounds. The high scientific level and the relaxed atmosphere invite a close and fruitful interaction between everybody present, both participants and staff.

TOPICS:
Imaging modalities (MR, PET, CT), quantitative image analysis, (open-source) tools for image analysis, neuro- and population imaging and image analysis in clinical practice, validation and open- source databases, atlases, applic ations in the clinic, small animals and clinical trials.
TARGET GROUP:
The School is mainly addressed to second- and third-year students pursuing their graduate studies in this field within PhD programs of biomedical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, physics, medical physics, and medicine. We therefore assume that participants have a basic understanding of biomedical imaging, both in terms of acquisition and image analysis and interpretation.
HOW TO APPLY:
Should you be interested in participating, please send your application as soon as possible to office@eibir.org by providing a motivation letter and your curriculum vitae, including contact details of one referee and those of your current main supervisor. Decisions on the granted applications will be made available to the selected candidates by mid April 2011. Payment of the registration fees will have to be made effective before 1 May 2011.
COSTS INVOLVED:
Participation fees for the school are EUR 750.- for accommodation in twin rooms and EUR 820.- for accommodation in a single room. The participation fee includes attendance of the course programme, full board accommodation and all social activities.
