First Annual Conference on Integral Biomathics ACIB 2011 in Stirling, Scotland

ACIB 2011 is going to address alternatives to von Neumann/Turing approaches to biological information processing including distinguishing living/non-living entities.

29 August 2011 - 31 August 2011
Germany
The First Annual Conference on Integral Biomathics ACIB 201 will be held at Stirling, Scotland, 29-31 August 2011, with concurrent conferences in USA and Japan.
ACIB 2011 is going to address alternatives to von Neumann/Turing approaches to biological information processing including distinguishing living/non-living entities. (For more details: inbiosa.eu)

Workshop on Integral Biomathics at The International Joint Conference on Neural Networks, IJCNN 2011, San Jose, California, July 31 - August 5, 2011.
Workshop on Integral Biomathics at ECAL 2011 Conference, Paris , 8-12 August 2011. A one day INBIOSA workshop is going to be held during the ECAL 2011.
The major idea of the workshops is to collect feedback from colleagues in North America and Europe in order to better prepare for the ACIB conference in Stirling (despite the short deadlines).

Currently, the above three public workshops and conference events in August 2011 are being prepared. (For more details: inbiosa.eu)

Summary of INBIOSA project
Research roadmaps in computational systems biology, autonomic computing and communications target the enrichment of knowledge and technology transfer between (analytic) life sciences and (synthetic) engineering sciences. We claim that it is impossible to make significant progress in this transdisciplinary field without a breakthrough paradigm change towards biologically driven mathematics and computation. A profoundly new understanding of the role of biology in natural and engineering sciences needs to be set out.
