OCMOL: Course on Microporous Mesoporous Materials organized by SINTEF

Course on Microporous Mesoporous Materials organized by SINTEF for EU project OCMOL (Oxidative Coupling of Methane followed by Oligomerization to Liquids)

24 May 2011 - 24 May 2011

Young scientists (post-docs and Ph-D students) are cordially invited to participate at the course dedicated to ” Microporous Mesoporous Materials” to be held at the Oslo Innovation Center (Forskningsparken), Gaustadalléen 21, N-0349 OSLO, May 24th, 2011.

*********** Registration extended to May 9th, 2011! ***********

Course outline:
The course is arranged for young researchers/PhD students in the field of catalysis and material synthesis. The main focus is catalyst preparation, characterization and separation, but should also be a valuable supplement for researchers focusing on catalyst testing.

The intention with the course is to create an overview of crystalline porous materials and their properties. Following topics will be covered:
- Overview of different classes of crystalline porous materials.
- XRD characterization of crystalline porous materials.
- Materials properties and processes taking place on porous materials investigated by theoretical calculations.
- Presentation of different application areas (for example separation and catalysis).
- Approaches and challenges in industrial applications.
