Joint EC / EPoSS / ERTRAC Expert Workshop 2011 “Electric Vehicle System Integration and Architecture” in Berlin, Germany

A focus of the workshop discussions will be on smart concepts for the combination of energy storage systems, electric drives and brakes and power electronic controls which will enable radical cuts in weight, energy consumption and cost.

Moreover, opportunities for reducing complexity and accelerating innovation by a fundamental revision of the electric and electronic architecture will be addressed, and the related issues, e.g. in terms of standardization, networking or testing methods will be considered.

The participants will represent all major European companies from the field of electric vehicle technologies as well as selected research institutions and all involved Directorates General of the European Commission. All experts are expected to bring in their knowledge during the interactive discussions to be held at the end of the day. A report shall be made available to the community after the workshop.
