Workshop on the Economics of Aging in Alicante,Spain

A forum for discussing theoretical and empirical research on the biological foundations of aging and their application to Economics

16 June 2011 - 17 June 2011
Spain
The workshop is sponsored by the 7th framework programme of the European Community under the Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities theme, “LEPAS” project (Long-Run Economic Perspectives on an Aging Society, Grant Agreement: SSH7-CT-2009-217275). The workshop is being held at the School of Economics, University of Alicante.

It aims to provide a forum for discussing theoretical and empirical research on the biological foundations of aging and their application to Economics, and about the effects of aging on economic outcomes. The idea is to bring together a small group of economists who are interested in this growing field and have about 10 papers presented over a two-day workshop. Although the focus of the conference is quite tight, it will also consider papers that are related but not exactly on the subject. To register for the workshop, please send mail to:fidel@merlin.fae.ua.es.
