Workshop targets finance for energy saving in sports centres

There will be a workshop "Third-party financing: a financial tool for energy efficiency in sports centres" in Rome on 4 June 1999.
In collaboration with CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee), the workshop is to inform CONI managers on the potential of the European Union's Fifth Framework Programme (FP5) for Research, Technological development and Demonstration (RTD) for the promotion of energy projects and to make them aware of the role that FP5 can play in the rebuilding heating installations in sporting centres.
The lines of the third-party financing provide for the total supply of diagnosis, services, funds, installation, management and maintenance of technological plants by a service firm, which have to be repaid from the value of the energy saving obtained after the rebuilding.
