A workshop on the protection of European water resources will be held in Dresden, Germany, between 16 and 18 June 1999. The main topics on the agenda will be the environmental impact, monitoring and treatment of:

- Sediments;
- Diffuse pollution.

The workshop is jointly organized by the European Union concerted action on environmental technologies, the Environment and Climate programme of the European Commission, and the Institute of Waste and Site Management at Dresden University of Technology.
