INRECA II conference will present project results
Case-based reasoning (CBR) systems help users make smarter business decisions in less time and/or at a lower cost. This is particularly important for customer relationship management (CRM). Customers need knowledge about products and often require help finding the best products to fit their needs. Once they have purchased a product, they often also need technical support. Case-based decision support encompasses both CBR technology, which retrieves cases that are similar to a query, and data mining, which analyzes past queries in order to extract general patterns and rules.
Conference participants will learn about CBR technology and its related methodologies, that companies like DaimlerChrysler and Analog Devices use to gain competitive advantages. They will also learn how to acquire and maintain a case base, how to ensure the quality of the data, and how to measure the costs, benefits, and payback of case-based technologies. And, finally, there will be demonstrations of CBR applications that are working in companies.
