Have you ever wished to transmit power and data over the same cable in an on-board application?
This is the subject of an on-going European collaborative research project called TAUPE (Transmission in Aircraft on Unique Path wirEs).
This project has started in 2008 and will finish in February 2012. It has involved 17 partners from 6 different countries across Europe. Two technologies were studied and demonstrated on different aircraft on-board systems: PLC (PowerLine Technologies) and PoD (Power over Data) technologies – PoAFDX in the project.
We are organizing a full day of public dissemination to present the problematic of the technology, the work performed during the project and its achievements. A demonstration will also be performed on a demonstrator developed during the project and using PLC technology.
We would be very glad if you could join us during this event. This will be the occasion to share our expertise and exchange with other key players.
