First European-wide research strategy to tackle Alzheimer’s and other Neurodegenerative Diseases Conference in Brussels, Belgium

Research leaders from across Europe will gather in Brussels on February 7th, 2012 for the launch of the first European-wide strategy, endorsed by 24 countries, to coordinate and prioritize research aimed at tackling the enormous challenge of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease.

The launch will be addressed by the European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science - Maire Geoghegan-Quinn and will include a panel debate with stakeholder representatives from the research community, industry, patient organisations and national funding bodies.
