Final Conference of the COST Action IC0702 “Combining Soft Computing Techniques and Statistical Methods to Improve Data Analysis Solutions” in Rome, Italy

The final conference of the COST Action IC0702 will be the last public event of this network and it will deal with the core of its program, Soft Computing and Statistics to improve Data Analysis. It will be composed of 16 presentations that will be given by members of the Action. These presentations will cover the main topics of the three work groups that constitute the network: model selection and validation (Work Group A, WGA), bio-inspired metaheuristics (Work Group B, WGB) and statistics with imperfect and incomplete data (Work Group C, WGC).

Practical information
Rome is a world famous tourist site, with hundreds of historical venues. Direct low cost and normal flights exist between Rome and many European capitals and cities, including London, Paris, Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Barcelona, Brussels and many others. From Rome Intl. airport (Fiumicino, airport code FCO) you can easily reach the Central Rail Station (Roma Termini) by train (about 30 minutes, 14€ each way). A large number of hotels are available in Rome for attendee accommodation with different rates and facilities. There are several hotels close to CNR. Among these are the Hotel Laurentia *** (rooms starting at €55.00) the Hotel Ateneo **** (rooms starting at €130).

Bachelor Students, Master Students, Ph. D. students, Post-Docs, both senior and young researchers, and academic/industrial professionals are encouraged to register.
