Agriculture and the Internet: Agrimedia will promote growth in the field.

AgriMedia, an ESPRIT project designed to promote the use of multimedia tools in agriculture, is holding a seminar in Paris on 23 June 1999.
The event is aimed at reviewing the techniques currently available to connect to the Internet and to develop a host service, and outlining a clear vision of the tools that will be available in the future.
The seminar will focus attention on different technologies offered by France Telecom, including ISDN, electronic commerce, Internet security, routers enabling local networks to connect to the Internet and global intranet and extranet solutions.
The forthcoming seminar follows an event earlier this year, which considered how and why agricultural and rural communities are using the Internet.
