The Car of the Future: A Merger of Electric, Assisted and Connected Driving
Speakers at the AMAA 2012 will address three major innovations paths: electric propulsion and the role of electronics (Patrick Bastard, Vice President Renault), wireless charging (Eric Giler, CEO WiTricity), and the challenges of automated driving (Reiner Hoeger, Director Continental). Furthermore, the related funding programmes at European level will be presented (Khalil Rouhana, Director European Commission).
The conference programme comprises more than 40 talks and posters by leading engineers and renowned researchers dealing with electric vehicles, safety and driver assistance, simulation and testing, in-vehicle networks and architectures, cooperative driving and navigation as well as with the enabling components and systems. A special session will be held on the results of the Mini-Faros projects which aims at the development of a low- cost miniature laser scanner, and an update will be given on the funding opportunities and current projects of the European Green Cars Initiative.
