Training Course on Financial Management and Coordination of FP7 projects will be held from 16 to 18 October 2012 in Turin, Italy.

The following topics will be covered during the course:
- Introduction to the 7th Framework Programme and presentation of the Coordinator’s role: tasks and responsibilities based on the contractual documents
- Presentation and main features of the CORDIS website, the Participants’ Portal and the EPSS
- Analysis of the project application forms, with particular reference to A forms (administrative and financial forms)
- Hints and tools to draft a good project budget
- The negotiation phase with the European Commission
- The Grant Agreement
- The Consortium Agreement and Intellectual Property Rights
- Monitoring of the project’s advancement and reporting. The preparation and electronic sending of FORM Cs
- Financial reporting: general principles; direct costs (personnel, consumables, durables, travel and subsistence costs, subcontracts and other direct costs); indirect costs and eligible methods of calculation; ineligible costs; costs certification: required documents and procedures
- Controls and sanctions
