The 250th anniversary of maritime studies in Hamburg will be celebrated this year to coincide with the scientific congress Ship and Maritime Transport 99, to be held on 28 and 29 September 1999 in Hamburg, Germany.
Among the topics to be addressed are the state-of-the-art and future perspectives, the role of technology, intermodal traffic, telematics, safety and economy, and crew and maritime education.
