EURO BRAIN '99 concentrates on disease

The second international EURO BRAIN conference is scheduled to be held in Aalborg, Denmark, between 29 September and 1 October 1999. This biennial multidisciplinary conference was established to analyse and discuss diseases of the brain and will concentrate on three areas:
- Anxiety disorders and depression;
- Alcohol and drug abuse;
- Dementia.
Almost 40 invited speakers, each of them well established and recognised within their field of research, have accepted invitations to the Aalborg event. The conference programme is pitched at a high scientific level, say the organisers, taking an interdisciplinary approach.
The first EURO BRAIN conference was held in November 1997 attracting 400 participants from 28 countries. A similar turnout is expected at this year's event.
