A workshop entitled 'Managing FP7 Research Projects' will be held on 198th March 2013 in Cambridge, UK.

This workshop is aimed at project coordinators, managers and administrators of EU FP7 collaborative research projects. It will show them how to:

• prepare for managing the project: establishing the rules and processes for decision taking, creating a quality process to check deliverables, use of management websites and email lists to support communication, draft a project handbook plus templates for meeting agendas and reports, deliverables, and partner progress reports.

• interact with the European Commission in submitting progress reports and deliverables, gaining approval and payment, preparing for technical reviews and amending the grant agreement

• work with the consortium to keep the project on schedule, submit reports on time, transfer budgets and work, handle poorly performing partners, and control the EU cash flow.

The workshop focuses on collaborative research projects in the FP7 Cooperation Programme, but is also relevant to the Capacities Programme and Coordination and Support Actions.

Note: Those requiring information on the financial aspects of FP7 should attend our Finance in FP7 workshop.
