The AGRIMMEDIA project, funded by the EU's Esprit programme, is holding a seminar on computer-based communication and training in agriculture in the USA and Canada. The seminar will take place in Paris, on 7 September 1999.

AGRIMMEDIA aims to promote the use of multimedia tools and services for agriculture and rural areas, as well as to develop a network of organisations able to offer, promote and market high quality multimedia services and products. A number of presentations of products and services have already been organised by AGRIMMEDIA, and this latest one will look at real applications from Canada and the USA for training and communications.

In particular, the seminar will demonstrate products and services which are accessible and easy for teachers, trainers and SMEs to learn and quickly obtain high quality results. The Canadian authoring tool, TrainingBuilder, allows users with no programming knowledge to develop sophisticated multimedia courses and presentations, and will be demonstrated at the seminar.
