The 4th European Conference on Renewable Heating and Cooling, Dublin, Ireland

The Fourth European Conference on Renewable Heating and Cooling will be held from 22 to 23 April 2013 in Dublin, Ireland.

22 April 2013 - 23 April 2013
Austria
Combating climate change and ensuring energy supply security represent profound challenges for Europe. Adapting the current energy scenario into a truly sustainable one will require realising the full potential of renewable energy sources to satisfy heating and cooling demand. This demand accounts for around half of the EU's final energy consumption.

Organised by the European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling, the conference will include the launch of the new Strategic Research Agenda for Renewable Heating and Cooling. It will provide a forum to debate the subsequent Implementation Roadmap strategy, and will aim to highlight and identify the most important research, development and demonstration projects within the forthcoming Horizon 2020 research framework programme.

The conference, organised with the financial support of the European Commission, will be held under the auspices of the Irish EU Presidency. It will bring together representatives from energy ministries, the European Commission and the European Parliament, along with leading delegates from industry and research. The event will coincide with an informal meeting of EU energy ministers, which is also due to be held in Dublin.
