The eleventh annual conference of the European Association for International Education will be held in Maastricht, The Netherlands, from 2 to 4 December 1999, on the subject 'Good neighbours and faraway friends'. A pre-conference day will be held on 1 December for those new to the field of international education.
The theme of this year's conference calls attention to features of regional cooperation across national boundaries in higher education.
There will be a number of workshops on various themes including international credential evaluation, interactive learning, cross-cultural communication, databases as tools, and using technology effectively.
The EAIE is an independent, non-profitmaking organisation for individual professionals in the field of international higher education.
