The second highlight in the EuroPrix educational programme is to take place in Vienna, Austria, from 7 to 9 October 1999. The EuroPrix Students' Festival follows the EuroPrix Summer Academy held in Paris, and centres around the top 15 entries in the 1999 EuroPrix students' contest.

The EuroPrix is a European initiative set up in 1998 by the European Commission and the Austrian Ministry for Economic Affairs to identify the best in European multimedia production. It is open to all those who produce marketable multimedia products.

The Vienna festival offers workshops and keynote speeches by international experts on issues such as broadband multimedia, an overview of trends and technologies, and an analysis of new media and brand marketing. The goal of the conference is to 'match-make' producers and new talents and there will be an opportunity to visit multimedia companies and hear presentations from Europe's top 15.

The highlight of the event will be the announcement of five nominees from the Students' contest for the EuroPrix Students' Award at a party on Saturday 9 October.
