Delivering lifelong learning with information and communications technologies is the theme of the latest ALTAC event, Completing the Jigsaw, to be held in Dunfermline, Scotland, on 7 October 1999.

Information and communications technologies (ICT) is becoming integrated into teaching and learning in different ways, and the event aims to piece them together to form a learning framework that would make 'lifelong learning a reality'.

Leading experts from all over the world are expected to attend, covering themes such as heightening the educational experience through the use of new learning technologies and opening up learning to the community. There will also be a range of workshops featuring ICT in the curriculum, support centres and local authority centres, case studies and an SME-educational partnership.
