Second world manufacturing congress
The emphasis of this congress is on bringing researchers and industry closer to each other than before, and highlighting the importance of applied as well as theoretical research. The continuous exchange of scientific and technical information is important particularly as the manufacturing industry worldwide is facing increasing difficulties. The impact of other rapidly changing technical sectors, like electronics, automation and computer/information engineering, as well as environmental protection, is forcing change on production processes.
Three separate symposia will make up the congress, comprising the International Symposium on Manufacturing Systems (ISMS'99), the International Symposium on Manufacturing Technology (ISMT'99), and the International Symposium on Manufacturing Management (ISMM'99).
