EUSEW 2013 event: Learning from the EU CONCERTO initiative's 58 sustainable energy communities - economic, technological and policy lessons
These demonstration projects were financed under the CONCERTO initiative of the European research framework programmes (FP6, FP7). It forms the basis of the Smart Cities and Communities Initiative's energy dimension. An ambitious monitoring across all projects is assessing how the sites' individual technology mixes perform economically and technically.
The session will:
* Showcase individual approaches and sustainable actions with high impact
* Present a financial and technical assessment of results and impact
* Discuss policy recommendations and conclusions for further action
* Explain the set-up of the EU’s CONCERTO Initiative and projects (aim, approach, interdisciplinary consortia, target groups)
* Discuss the indicator-based Technical Monitoring Database, that renders available all monitoring data of all CONCERTO sites and buildings
The target group of this event: public bodies, mayors, energy agencies, multipliers, bodies and associations active in the energy field, consultants working for the above
