WORKSHOP: Horizon 2020 - The story so far...being held in Cambridge, UK

Workshop Date: 17 September 2013
Workshop Location: Cambridge, UK
Workshop Organisers: Singleimage Limited

17 September 2013 - 17 September 2013
Austria
Horizon 2020 is the successor to FP7 and is scheduled to start in 2014. As well as research, the new programme will incorporate much of the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme and the European Institute of Technology, which are smaller EU programmes that have operated in parallel with FP7 and come to an end in 2013.

The European Commission’s proposals for Horizon 2020 run to over 1000 pages of documents and supporting analysis. They have now been amended by the European Parliament and EU Member States, who jointly decide the final shape and rules of the programme. The European Commission is now developing the detailed rules and guidelines to implement the programme.

Through lectures and practical exercises, this workshop explains the content of the new legislation. It is aimed at research advisors and business managers who have an understanding of FP7, and want to know what is different in Horizon 2020.
