ESNATS conference : EU research into alternatives to animal testing

ESNATS conference coupled to EUSAAT congress; 16th September 2013, Linz, Austria

16 September 2013 - 16 September 2013
Austria
The ESNATS - Embryonic Stem cell-based Novel Alternative Testing Strategies – Project aims to develop a novel toxicity test platform based on embryonic stem cells (ESCs), in particular human ESC (hESCs) to accelerate drug development, reduce related R&D costs and propose a powerful alternative to animal tests.

The ESNATS Project will hold its conference with the EUSAAT congress - The European Society for Alternatives to Animal Testing on 16 September 2013 in Linz, Austria.

The aim of this conference is to:

- Disseminate the major achievements of the project, highlight the biomarker study and the test battery;

- Discuss the perspectives for future work: how to use the ESNATS results in further research and the future of stem cells in toxicity testing.
