Training Course on Financial Management and Reporting of FP7 projects, with presentation of H2020- Milan, 16th-18th October 2013

This 3-day training course is aimed at giving an overview on the financial issues related to FP7 projects’ design and management, paying attention to the Coordinator’s and the partners’ respective tasks during project implementation and in the reporting activities. The last part of the course will be devoted to present Horizon 2020 architecture, its participation rules and new Funding Instruments.

The following topics will be covered during the course:
- General rules of participation in the Seventh Framework Programme and funding schemes
- Main features of CORDIS website and the Participant Portal
- The Grant Agreement
- The Consortium Agreement and Intellectual Property Rights
- Project internal monitoring, scientific and financial reporting (Hints and tools for efficient reporting, use of the Participant Portal to draft scientific reports and Form Cs, to submit project deliverables and to inform the EC about dissemination activities, including publications)
- Financial reporting (direct costs - personnel, consumables, durables, travel and subsistence costs, subcontracts and other direct costs); indirect costs and eligible methods of calculation; ineligible costs; costs’ certification - required documents and procedures)
- Controls and sanctions
- HORIZON 2020:
 the new architecture of HORIZON 2020, as regards in particular its three pillars, Excellent Science, Societal Challenges, Industrial Leadership
 the Commission's proposal on the rules for participation in Horizon 2020, paying particular attention to the new Funding Tnstruments and the differences with FP7.

The course is targeted to specifically address the needs of professionals and project managers involved in the management of EU-funded projects, both in the private and the public sector. The course can be an important tool to help participants to effectively manage projects and further develop their internal management strategies. It can also provide a useful opportunity to network and share good practices.

THE COURSE WILL BE HELD IN ITALIAN. Courses can also be offered in English on demand.
