The fourth international conference on technology policy and innovation will be held in Curitiba, Brazil, from 28 to 31 August 2000. The main theme will be 'learning and knowledge networks for development'.
'As knowledge increasingly becomes a key strategic resource there is a need for effective knowledge processes critical for the creation, transfer, application and diffusion of this global resource for developed, developing and emerging regions', say the conference organisers.
The conference therefore intends to draw together scientists, engineers, managers, entrepreneurs and policy makers to present research results and share informed practices and lessons learned, as well as discussing creative and innovative topics of emerging importance for public and private sectors world-wide.
