Training Course on “Horizon 2020”- Rome, 19th-20th November 2013

This 2-day training course is aimed at giving a comprehensive overview on the main features of Horizon 2020. The first part of the course will be devoted to present the architecture of the new programme, while the following part of the course will focus on the financial issues related to H2020 project design and management, paying particular attention to the differences from the previous Framework

The following topics will be covered during the course:
- Introduction to Horizon 2020:
 “Europe 2020” Strategy
 The architecture of the new Framework Programme
 Similarities and differences between H2020 and FP7
- General rules of participation
- The new funding schemes: similarities and differences between H2020 and FP7
- Financial provisions
- Financial management and reporting
- Direct costs (personnel, consumables, durables, subcontracts, travel and subsistence costs and other direct costs);
- Indirect costs;
- Ineligible costs;
- Costs’ certification: required documents and procedures
- Controls and sanctions.

The issues arising in the application of H2020 rules in universities, research institutes and enterprises will be discussed in depth.

The course is targeted to specifically address the needs of professionals and project managers involved in the management of EU-funded projects, both in the private and the public sector. The course can be an important tool to help participants to effectively manage projects and further develop their internal management strategies. It can also provide a useful opportunity to network and to share good practices.

THE COURSE WILL BE HELD IN ITALIAN. Courses can also be offered in English on demand.
