Training Course on “Horizon 2020: Management, reporting and audit”- Rome, 23rd-25th September 2014

This 3-day training course is aimed at giving a comprehensive overview on the H2020 management and reporting features.The first part of the course will be devoted to present the legal framework, while the following part will focus on the H2020 administration and financial issues.

Main Text: The following topics will be covered during the course:
- Introduction to Horizon 2020:
 General rules of participation;
 Types of action;
- Presentation of the Participant Portal and SEP (the platform for Submission and Evaluation of Proposals);
- Analysis of administrative forms for application, general financial provisions and building up project budget;
- The Grant Agreement;
- The Consortium Agreement;
- The Intellectual Property Rights and the Open Access’s new discipline;
- Financial management:
 General rules of financial reporting;
 Direct costs (personnel, consumables, durables, subcontracts, travel and subsistence costs and other direct costs);
 Indirect costs;
 Ineligible costs;
- Certification requirements: procedures and required supporting documents;
- Project monitoring, scientific and financial reporting;
- Controls and sanctions.

The issues arising in the application of H2020 rules in universities, research institutes and enterprises will be discussed in depth.

The course is targeted to specifically address the needs of professionals and project managers involved in the management of EU-funded projects, the elaboration of the Consortium Agreement and the financial reporting. The course can be an important tool to help participants to effectively manage projects, included examples and practical suggestions to tackle Intellectual Property issues, and further develop their internal management strategies. It can also provide a useful opportunity to network and to share good practices.

THE COURSE WILL BE HELD IN ITALIAN. Courses can also be offered in English on demand.
