RIAO 2000 - Computer-assisted information retrieval

The theme of RIAO 2000, taking place in Paris, from 12 to 14 April 2000, is 'Content-based multimedia information access'.

The event will cover all aspects of multimedia information access ranging from traditional processing of text documents to more recent innovations in automatic indexing, retrieval and multimedia distribution.

Topics include document processing, information retrieval, spoken language processing, natural language processing, image processing, system architecture, usage and best practice, and applications.

The conference will be of interest for several scientific communities, including information retrieval, natural language processing, spoken language processing, computer vision, human-computer interaction and digital libraries.
