Beta Technology, the UK SME National Contact Point for the Competitive and Sustainable Growth programme is organising two days to assist SMEs interested in participating in the Fifth Framework Programme.

The first, an information and brokerage event for the automotive sector takes place on 29 February 2000 in Nuneaton, UK. It will promote participation in FP5 and in particular through the Craft cooperative research scheme specifically designed for SMEs. It will aim also to encourage the creation of trans-national partnerships for research.

The second, provisionally to be held on 22 March 2000, will focus on the Measurement and Testing area of the Growth programme and particularly activities to help in the fight against fraud. It will provide information and advice for organisations considering participation in this area of the Fifth Framework Programme.
