Course: 'How to Write a Competitive Proposal for Horizon 2020'

A half-day course about how to write a Competitive Proposal for Horizon 2020 will take place on 18 February 2015 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The course describes the key issues that must be considered when preparing a competitive proposal for Horizon 2020.

* Researchers.

Private consultants are not allowed to attend this course.

Contents:
* From Framework 7 to Horizon 2020
* How the research priorities were selected (Lobby)
* How Horizon 2020 proposals are evaluated
* How to write the Impact of the proposal
* The One Page Proposal
* How to streamline the writing of the proposal.

Pre- and/or Post-Award:
Pre-Award. The course is relevant for the proposal writing phase.

Output:
This course will help researchers with good ideas to focus the content of their proposals. It will help them to structure the arguments to sell the idea to the evaluators. The course will also lead participants to understand the concept of Impact in the Horizon 2020 proposal.

Course presenter:
Dr. Seán McCarthy has been involved in the European Framework programmes since the early 1980s. He has been involved as a researcher, research manager, and evaluator. Today he designs and delivers training courses on the Framework programmes. Since 1997 more than 40,000 participants have attended his courses in 29 countries. In Framework 7 a list of the top 100 Universities and researchers was published by the European Commission. Seán McCarthy presents courses in 48 of these top 100 organisations.

Deadline for cancellation is two weeks before the course. After this date registration is binding and the registration fee will be colleted regardless. However, you are welcome to send a substitute in your place, if you are unable to attend.
