A two-day workshop on the 26 and 27 March 2015, to be held in Paris with free-of-charge attendance, will provide an introduction to the MERLIN-Expo software, an easy-to-use tool which incorporates advanced models simulating the fate of chemicals in the environment and human body. This event will be held at EDF R&D. More info available at http://4funproject.eu/en/news_events/show/&tid=24(opens in new window).
26 March 2015 - 27 March 2015
The MERLIN-Expo tool contains a library of models for exposure assessment coupling environmental multimedia and pharmacokinetic models and allows building complex scenarios involving several pollution sources, taking into account exposure through multiple pathways, performing advanced sensitivity and uncertainty analyses, and conducting exposure assessments for different human populations.
The workshop is specifically aimed at regulators and regulatory specialists in order to demonstrate the principles and capability of the tool and to showcase its application to specific case studies related to the transfer of contaminants in water, air, soil and biota systems, as well as in the human body.
The workshop will be hosted by experts in the areas of modelling environmental fate, human exposure, pharmacokinetics and environmental risk assessment of chemicals.
