ECIS 2000 - A cyberspace odyssey

The eighth European conference on information systems will take place in Vienna, from 3 to 5 July 2000. The theme of ECIS 2000 is 'A cyberspace odyssey: trends in information and communication systems for the 21st century'.
The most visible Information Society (IS) and information technology (IT) trends of the 1990s will be reviewed, including the rapid development of the Internet and World Wide Web. Their economic relevance will also be considered.
The event will also try to predict the future of emerging IS and IT issues that are most likely to influence research in the coming decade.
The programme is divided into general tracks, industry-oriented tracks and a doctoral consortium, and will comprise scientific papers, practice-oriented reports, panels and tutorials.
