Eighth international conference on pressure surges
A number of prestigious industrialists and academics have agreed to give keynote address and chair sessions at the event. Conference papers will cover unsteady and transient flows in a wide range of topics including:
- Compressible, multi-phase and open channel/free surface flows;
- Filling and draining;
- Pressure surge alleviation;
- Flow induced vibrations and resonance;
- Fluid structure interaction.
The conference will also emphasise safe and reliable design as well as issues such as health, safety and environmental verification.
Formal presentations will be supplemented by a special open forum debate to enable wider discussion on the key issues. Delegates will also have the opportunity to make short informal presentations on case studies or work in progress and to highlight topics where they would like to see more discussion.
The event is aimed for engineers with responsibility for plant design, operation and maintenance; project managers; researchers and developers; software developers and users; and those responsible for risk assessment, and health and safety, amongst others.
