AIT Forum 2000

A forum on Advanced Information Technology will take place in Paris, from 28 to 30 March 2000.
The event is organised in the framework of 'European Information Technologies Week' and presents the results of R&D projects which have developed innovative information and communication technologies.
There will also be an exhibition area and a series of parallel workshops and working group sessions. A plenary session will develop a policy for an AIT initiative.
Representatives of industry will present their visions for the future evolution of the domain and the impact of their deployment in the business processes.
The importance and implications of IT deployment are likely to accelerate in the near future as technologies become more affordable, reliable, more suited to industry's requirements, and as people become aware of the potential efficiencies that can be achieved.
