Fit for Health 2.0 is organizing a free of charge full-day training addressing newcomers to “Horizon 2020”, the new Framework Programme for Research and Innovation of the European Commission. This training day is addressed to companies, research institutes, universities, hospitals and other institutions in the fields of public health, medical technology and red biotechnology.
The event provides those not yet familiar with Horizon 2020 with concise and comprehensive information on the opportunities and rules of European research funding.
Apart from a general introduction to Horizon 2020 and the Challenge “Health, demographic change and wellbeing”, the program will feature presentations on funding instruments, consortium composition and how to find project partners. Special attention will be paid to SMEs since they play a pivotal role in the Challenge “Health, demographic change and wellbeing” of Horizon 2020. We therefore specifically encourage researchers and project managers from SMEs to participate.
The session will be conducted by a team of European experts with proven experience in several Framework Programs of the European Commission.
The upcoming call for proposals for Health research with a budget of 549 million Euros (about 20% to go to SMEs) was officially published on 11th December 2013. If you consider submitting a proposal in this call and are not familiar with Horizon 2020 and general principles of EU Health research yet, this is your opportunity and perfect timing to jump on the train!
