The Euratom/UKAEA Fusion Association is organising the 37th Culham Plasma Physics summer school this year from 10 to 21 July. This international summer school has a broad curriculum and is primarily intended for students near the start of postgraduate courses.

Culham is a leading centre for research in plasma physics and nuclear fusion carried out under the auspices of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority and Euratom. The school is aimed to provide an introduction to the fundamental principles of plasma physics, together with a broad range understanding of its field of application. The organisers assume no knowledge of the subject but suggest a familiarity with electromagnetism and applied mathematics at first degree level would be helpful.

Lecturers are drawn from the joint Euratom fusion research programmes at Culham in the UK, Cadarache in France, Gothenburg in Sweden, the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (UK), the Max Planck Institute for nuclear physics (Germany) and Saclay (France) as well as from other leading research groups.
