Adapt, survive and thrive 2000
The conference is organised by ADAPTthroughRATIO (AtR), a partnership of universities, colleges and county councils which aims to explore new ways to deliver training and information to small and medium-sized enterprises and their employees throughout the south-west of England.
With funding from the European Social Fund, AtR has developed a range of training products and information systems for small and medium-sized enterprises, which will be demonstrated through a mixture of stands, displays, papers and product presentations. Delegates will have an opportunity to learn about the latest approaches to product development and share examples of best practice.
Event organisers believe the conference will be of interest to people interested in long-distance education all over Europe.
There will be a skills workshop on 26 June, followed by the main conference on 27 and 28 June, addressing a number of topics including: 'understanding the development process for new practical tools'; 'making the best delivery and support methods to the customer's needs'; and 'the impact that distance learning is making on business and the individual'.
