Second international IEP symposium
Scientists, policy makers, economists and environmental managers will gather to discuss the conflicting demands on water, air and land resources in a changing global environment.
Event organisers aim to explore the science and policy implications of current research and thinking on resource use. 'The goal of IEP 2000 is not only to create a unique stage for interdisciplinary dialogue, but also to promote equally the scientific and policy issues pertinent to all aspects of natural resource use.'
A mix of plenary sessions, working groups and poster sessions will form the structure of IEP 2000. There will also be a series of integrated symposium discussion topics on waste disposal and recycling, energy and transportation, urban environments and sustainability and economic development.
