ELENA Finland 2000
ELENA (Electronic North Arena) Finland 2000 is a project funded by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Regional policy. The project is managed by the Regional Council of Central Finland with the support of the European Commission, to promote and develop Small and Medium Sized Enterprises' (SMEs) business. It focuses on the electronic sector, particularly on telecommunications and industrial automation.
ELENA Finland 2000 is intended to help participating SMEs to establish direct contacts between suppliers for trade marks such as Nokia, Siemens, Ensto, Fluke, and ABB, as well as to promote international cooperation and to help SMEs from across Europe to form contracts and sub-contracts and to improve know-how in the electronic sector.
At the same time, the Regional Council of Central Finland is also organising 'TEKNIIKKA 2000', one of the three leading exhibitions in the electronic field arranged in Scandinavia and focusing on production and industrial automation, calibration and environmental technology.
